Zoom appoints Jason Lee as new CISO from Salesforce

Chinese video conferencing software company Zoom has appointed Jason Lee as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Jason Lee has worked for Salesforce as a Senior Vice President of Security Operations and before that he had worked as a Principal Director of Security Engineering at Microsoft. According to sources, Lee will start working with Zoom from June 29, where he will report his joining to Zoom’s Chief Operating Officer(COO) Aparna Bawa. The company has also hired former Facebook CISO Alex Stamos as a security consultant to guide the company, until they hire a full-time CISO. Amid COVID-19 outbreak, Zoom witnessed a fast growth in downloads. There were 10 million daily users in December 2019 and now it has more than 300 daily users.
