Smartphone companies are extending the warranty period of their devices due to the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown in the country. Chinese smartphone makers OPPO and Xiaomi announced to extend the warranty on their devices on Tuesday. Under this offer, if the warranty of the device of the users will end in the lockdown period, then it will be extended for two more months. Earlier, Poco and Vivo had also announced warranty extensions for their devices. Oppo said that the company is extending the ‘repair warranty’ of all its products by June 30, 2021. While Xiaomi said that the warranty expiring this year in May-June will now be extended for two months.
