Sony invests $250 million in ‘Fortnite’ developer Epic Games

Sony Corporation has invested in the gaming giant Epic Games, creator of the popular game Fortnite, and a game engine named ‘Unreal Engine‘. Epic Games also acquired the video-calling app Houseparty for $35 million. The Japanese tech giant’s investment of $250 million in Epic Games, helped it in raising $1.83 billion. Both the company have not disclosed the official deal value figures. The game engine Unreal Engine has developed several games like Borderlands and Gears of War.
