Tech giant Google has reviewed hundreds of personal loan apps in India and removed many of them from its Play Store. Users and government agencies had earlier expressed concern about these apps to Google. On Thursday, Google said that those apps that were violating user security policies have been immediately removed from the Play Store. Google said in a blogpost that apps are being identified that violate local laws and regulations by fraudulent digital lending and action will be taken against such apps without issuing notice. Google said that these apps were reviewed based on the flags submitted by common people and government agencies.
