WB CM Mamata Banerjee extends lockdown in state till July end

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced lockdown extension till July 31 to contain the COVID-19 spread in the state. All educational institutions including government and state-aided schools, colleges as well as universities across the state will remain closed during this period. Earlier today, CM Banerjee held an all-party meeting to discuss COVID-19 situation at Nabana in state capital, Kolkata. Currently in West Bengal, the total number of of confirmed COVID-19 cases stands at 14,728 with 580 deaths.
