UP CM Adityanath: Rename Agra’s Mughal Museum after Shivaji

On Monday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made an announcement on the renaming of the under-construction Mughal Museum in Agra. CM Yogi Adityanath wants to rename the Mughal Museum after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He stated, “How can Mughals be our heroes? The very name of Shivaji will invoke a feeling of nationalism and self-esteem”. The CM has also issued an order of instructions to officers for renaming the museum. The Rs.141 crore museum will be built by the state tourism department. The idea to build the museum was of former CM Akhilesh Yadav, who had announced its construction in 2016.
