Top LeT commander killed by security forces in Shopian encounter

The security forces have killed two terrorists, including top Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Ishfaq Dar alias Abu Akram in an encounter in Shopian’s Sadiq Khan area on Sunday night. Calling it as a major success for the security forces fighting the war against terrorism, the IGP congratulated the forces. According to Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar, Lashkar commander Ishfaq Dar alias Abu Akram was active in the Valley since 2017. He was earlier in JKP. Incriminating materials including arms and ammunition have been recovered from the encounter site. After conducting the search operation, the security forces captured the bodies of both the terrorists and announced the end of the operation.
