Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine administered to 17 volunteers in Pune

Russian Coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V has been applied to 17 volunteers for human clinical trials at a hospital in Pune. The vaccine has been developed jointly by the Gamaleya National Research Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF). According to reports, India has purchased 100 million doses of this vaccine from Russia. Dr. SK Raut, head of ‘Clinical Research Department’ of Noble Hospital said, “All the volunteers, who were administered the vaccine, will be under observation for the next few days.”
