SC holds Prashant Bhushan guilty of contempt for tweeting against the court and CJI Bobde

On Friday, the Supreme Court held lawyer Prashant Bhushan guilty of contempt over his objectionable tweets on Chief Justice of India, Sharad Bobde and the Supreme Court. Bhushan had tweeted against Supreme Court on June 27 and against the CJI on June 29. A three-judge bench of justice Arun Mishra, BR Gavai and Krishna Murari passed the judgment at 11 AM today. A separate hearing will be held on August 20 to decide the punishment for Bhushan.
