Due to rise in COVID-19 cases, the Odisha government has decided to extend the lockdown till June 1. The Chief Secretary of the state informed about the extension of the lockdown till 5 AM on June 1. During the lockdown, essential shops have been allowed to open from 7 AM to 11 AM. So far, 6,22,981 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Odisha, out of which 5,26,353 patients have recovered from the infection. The number of active patients in the state is currently 94,293 whereas 2,335 people have lost their lives so far.
