Night curfew imposed in Punjab, Rs 1000 fine for not wearing masks

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh announced new restrictions to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the state on Wednesday. Night curfew has been imposed again in all cities and towns of the state and the penalty for not wearing masks or following social distancing has been doubled from Rs 500 to Rs 1000 effective from December 1. All hotels, restaurants and marriage halls in Punjab will be closed at 9.30 pm. Night curfew will remain in force from 10 am to 5 am and it will be reviewed on 15 December.
