Narada Sting Case: Supreme Court sets aside Calcutta High Court order

The Supreme Court on Friday annulled the June 9 order of the Calcutta High Court in the Narada Sting Case. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Law Minister Moloy Ghatak had challenged the order in the Supreme Court after the High Court had refused to take the West Bengal government’s affidavit on record during the hearing of the transfer petition of the CBI. Supreme Court has directed them to file their application in the High Court by 28 June. The case is related to the role of the Chief Minister and the Law Minister during the arrest of four Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders by the CBI in the Narada Sting Case.
