Mumbai Police issues updated COVID-19 lockdown guidelines

Maharashtra is the worst-hit state of the country by the coronavirus pandemic. In view of the rapidly rising cases in the capital, the Mumbai Police has issued new guidelines to curb its spread. According to the new guidelines, more than five people are not allowed at public places on weekends from 7 AM to 8 PM. Any movement other than essential services will be restricted from 8 PM to 7 AM on weekends. Beaches will remain closed till 30 April. Shops, markets, malls, private offices will be completely closed barring essential services. In the last 24 hours, 55,469 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the state and 297 deaths have been recorded.
