The Maharashtra government today told the Bombay High Court that over 2000 people have been victims of fake COVID-19 vaccination camps in Mumbai so far. State government’s counsel Chief Public Prosecutor Deepak Thackeray told the court that at least nine fake camps were organized in the city and four separate FIRs have been registered in this case. The state government also filed a status report on the ongoing investigation in this case in the court. The bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Dutta and Justice G S Kulkarni was informed that a fake vaccination camp was organized in a residential society in suburban Kandivali. At least 2,053 people became victims of such fake vaccination camps.
