Mumbai: Major fire breaks out at a scrap godown in Mankhurd

A major fire broke out in a scrap warehouse in Mankhurd area of Mumbai in Maharashtra on Friday. The cause of the fire has not been ascertained yet. No casualties were reported from the fire so far. Mumbai Fire Brigade personnel are trying to douse the fire at the site that started around 2.45 PM. A fire brigade official reported to PTI, “The blaze erupted in a scrap material godown. It is a ‘level-3’ (major) fire. Nineteen fire engines and as many tankers are currently engaged in the firefighting operation. There is no report of injury to anyone so far.”
