In view of the rapidly increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Pune, the municipal corporation has announced night curfew and decided to keep schools colleges, coaching classes shut till March 14. However, essential services are exempted from curfew. Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol informed about the extension of COVID-19 restrictions till March 14, which was earlier imposed till 28 February. During night curfew, no public movement will be allowed except the essential services between 11 PM and 6 AM. The total number of COVID-19 cases in Pune is 4,06,453, of which 3,87,527 have been cured. As of Saturday, there are 9,860 active cases in Pune, while the death toll stands at 9,235.
