Maharashtra government eases COVID-19 restrictions, new guidelines issued

The Maharashtra government on Monday night allowed shops and establishments to open with 50% capacity till 10 PM on working days and restaurants till 4 PM. The decision comes after the state allowed the local administration to take a decision on relaxations. However, the general public has not yet been allowed to board local trains. The government has issued the notification of the relaxations on Monday. Cinema halls, drama theaters and multiplexes (independent and inside malls) are still not allowed to operate and places of worship will remain closed as before till further orders. Essential and non-essential shops will remain open till 8 PM on all weekdays.
