Maharashtra has recorded 12,557 new cases in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, COVID-19 lockdown will be lifted in accordance with a five-level unlock plan from today. After two months of curfew in most parts of Maharashtra, major relaxations have been allowed from today. The state government has permitted the opening of restaurants and gyms along with shops. BEST buses will again operate on the roads, although Mumbai’s Lifeline, the local train service will remain suspended. For unlocking, the state has been divided into five levels according to the availability of hospital beds and infection rate in the districts. Capital Mumbai has been placed in the third-level accordingly.
