The Nitish Kumar government in Bihar has decided to extend the lockdown by 10 days. The ongoing lockdown period was coming to an end on 15th May, but it has now been extended till 25th May. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar tweeted in Hindi, “Today reviewed the status of lockdown in Bihar along with associate ministers and officials. The positive effect of the lockdown is visible. Therefore, it has been decided to extend the lockdown in Bihar for the next 10 days i.e. from 16 to 25 May 2021.” The Bihar government had imposed the lockdown in the state from May 5 to May 15 following the comments of the Patna High Court.
