Lockdown extended till 1 June in Maharashtra

To curb the spread of COVID-19 infection, the Maharashtra government has decided to extend the lockdown period by 15 days in the state. The lockdown will now remain effective till June 1 at 7 AM. During this period, restrictions will continue as before. However, the state government has made the negative RT-PCR report of COVID-19 mandatory for any person entering Maharashtra. The state has the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the country. In the last 24 hours in the state, 816 people have lost their lives due to coronavirus and 46,781 new cases were recorded.
