BS Yediyurappa, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, has been tested positive for the COVID-19 infection. In a tweet, the 77-year old CM announced his test result on Sunday. He is admitted to Manipal Hospital in the state’s capital Bengaluru. His daughter Padmavathi has also tested positive while his son Vijayendra has tested negative. Yediyurappa has requested those who came in close contact with him in the last few days to self-isolate. Currently, Karnataka has 74,590 active COVID-19 cases.
