Four-time Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has resigned amid days speculations of a change in the leadership. He tendered his resignation to Governor Thawarchand Gehlot on Monday. Yediyurappa announced his resignation at a program organized to mark the completion of two years of his government. After submitting his resignation, he said that there is no pressure on him from the high command. He said he is grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda for giving him a chance to serve Karnataka for two years.
