Indira Gandhi Airport becomes the first single-use plastic-free airport

Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (I.G.I) becomes the first ever eco-friendly and single-use plastic-free airport in India. The Confederation of Indian Industry- ITC Center of Excellence for Sustainable Development that supports business community towards attaining sustainability has certified Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) for its initiative. The objective is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative to abolish single-use plastic on World Environment Day.
