IMD issues heavy to very heavy rainfall warning in peninsular India

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heavy to very heavy rainfall warning over peninsular and coastal regions of India. These regions include Andhra Pradesh (AP), Telangana, Maharashtra, parts of Gujarat, coastal and northern interior Karnataka, Kerala, and Mahe. Heavy rainfall will occur in the next four-five days in these areas. IMD said a low-pressure area is lying over the west-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining the northern AP coast.
