IMD: Cyclone to hit Tamil Nadu coast on December 4

The Cyclone Warning Division of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday that a cyclone could hit Tamil Nadu for the second time in a week on 4 December. IMD said that due to deep pressure in the Bay of Bengal, cyclonic storm is likely to intensify by late night. IMD said the cyclone is likely to cross over Sri Lankan coast during the evening or night of 2 December. The speed of the cyclone is expected to range from 75-80 km/h to 90 km/h and it will bring isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over south Tamil Nadu on December 1 and 4.
