At least seven people are feared dead and nine people have been reported missing in flash floods triggered by torrential rains in Himachal Pradesh. Sudesh Kumar Mokhta, State Disaster Management Director said that four persons are feared dead in Himachal’s Kullu district and one in Chamba. Whereas, two people died and nine are missing in Lahaul-Spiti. Meanwhile, a 25-year-old woman and her four-year-old son drowned at around 6.15 AM on Wednesday due to sudden rise in water level in Brahmaganga, a tributary of Parvati river near Manikaran in Kullu. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been called to rescue the people trapped in the debris of the landslides.
