Heat wave warning issued for parts of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana over next two days

The northern and northwestern states of India are facing delayed monsoon and scorching heat. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has warned that in the next two days, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and North Rajasthan may experience severe heat wave for the next two days. Due to the warm westerly winds blowing from Pakistan and Northwest India, severe heat wave conditions can occur in these areas of the country. The Indian Meteorological Department, in its latest update, said that in the next 6-7 days, heavy rains may occur in some parts of Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim and North Eastern states.
