On Sunday, former Union Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh passed away at the age of 74. Singh’s health had deteriorated on Friday, after which he was admitted to the ICU ward and kept on ventilator support at AIIMS, New Delhi. He had played a pivotal role in implementing the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) during the UPA government. PM Narendra Modi and ex-CM of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav paid tribute to Raghuvansh Prasad Singh on Twitter. The last rites of the ex-Union Minister will be held at 2 pm at Vaishali’s Hajipur.
