Earthquake measuring 3.6 on Richter scale strikes Kashmir

The tremors of earthquake were felt in Kashmir division between 26 and 27 January midnight. Although, no damage to property or life has been reported so far. According to National Center for Seismology, the intensity of the earthquake was measured 3.6 on the Richter scale in Ladakh at around 12.48 AM on 27 January. In Jammu and Kashmir, earthquake tremors have been occurring for the last four months at intervals. Earlier, tremors were felt at 7.32 PM on the evening of 11 January. On the same day, earthquake tremors were felt twice in Kishtwar of magnitude 5.1 on the Richter scale. According to experts, the areas of Doda, Bhadarwah and Kishtwar in Jammu division are very sensitive to earthquakes.
