Delhi Police arrests Umar Khalid under UAPA

On Sunday, former JNU student Umar Khalid was arrested by Delhi Police for his involvement in Delhi riots conspiracy that occurred in February this year. He has been arrested under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The Delhi Police Special Cell said crucial evidence against Umar Khalid were found by them. The riots had resulted in more than 50 deaths in North-East Delhi. During the interrogations, the police got crucial information about the members of the United Against Hate and People Front of India groups.
