Delhi Court acquits SAD leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa in Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib riots case

A Delhi court on Tuesday acquitted Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa and four others in a case of rioting at Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib in November 2012. Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sachin Gupta acquitted Sirsa, Manjit Singh GK, Kuldeep Singh Bhogal, Paramjit Singh Rana and Chaman Singh, accused of rioting and causing hurt to others during a meeting of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DSGMC). The court observed that it is clear that the prosecution has failed to prove the charges against the accused persons and thus they were acquitted of the said offences.
