The novel coronavirus is spreading in India like a wildfire. 81 cases of infection have been confirmed from all over the country. Though no cases have been detected of the virus, the Odisha Cabinet on Friday approved the ‘Odisha COVID-19 Regulations 2020’ to prevent the spread of the pandemic in the state. Health and Family Welfare Secretary, NB Dhal has reported that the regulations will come into force with immediate effect and will be valid for a period of one year. Under this regulation those citizens who refuse to quarantine for the virus will be prosecuted under IPC Section 188.
