Air Quality Index crosses 300 in parts of Delhi

The Air Quality Index (AQI) in the national capital of the country was recorded beyond 300 in many parts. According to the Delhi Pollution Control Committee, air pollution in Delhi is continuously increasing. AQI is at 313 in Anand Vihar, 305 in RK Puram, 325 in Mundka and 309 in Patparganj. All the four areas come under ‘very poor’ category. A thick sheet of smog appeared over the state on Wednesday morning. According to ICMR, COVID-19 infection and air pollution may increase the number of deaths in Delhi.
