WTC Final: Fourth day’s play cancelled due to rain

Today’s game of the first session of the fourth day of the World Test Championship Final has been cancelled due to incessant rain. After bowling India out for 217, New Zealand’s team had scored 101 runs in 45 overs for the loss of 2 wickets till the end of the third day’s play. Captain Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor had returned unbeaten to the pavilion. The final was scheduled to start from June 18, but due to rain, even the toss could not be thrown on the first day of the match. Rain delayed the start of the second day of the match as well, but a game of about 60 overs was played. While on the third day, the match could not start on time but when it did eventually, it had to be called off early due to rain and bad lighting.
