South Africa won the two-match series against the West Indies. The hosts West Indies needed 324 runs to win in the second match but against SA’s Keshav Maharaj’s brilliant hat-trick, the team could only manage 174 runs in the second innings. South Africa won by a huge margin of 158 runs to clean sweep the West Indies in the series. Left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj became only the second South African bowler to take a Test hat-trick as South Africa beat West Indies on Day 4 in the second Test at Gros Islet to win the two-Test series 2-0. Maharaj took five wickets for 36 runs, because of which the Caribbean team was collapsed at 165 runs in the second innings while chasing a target of 324 runs.
