Rafael Nadal was defeated by world number one Novak Djokovic in the second semi-final of the French Open Tennis Tournament on Friday. ‘The King of Clay Court’ Nadal had to face defeat for the first time in the semi-finals of the tournament. Djokovic won the epic match that lasted for 4 hours 11 minutes by 3-6, 6-3, 7-6(4), 6-2 to enter the final. This was Nadal’s third defeat in the last 108 matches on clay courts. On Sunday, Djokovic will face 22-year old Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final of the tournament for the first time. In the first semi final, Tsitsipas defeated Alexander Zverev of Germany 6-3, 6-3, 4-6, 4-6, 6-3.
