After Rameez Raza’s appointment as the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, former Australian opener Matthew Hayden will take over the responsibility of head coach of Pakistan cricket team for the ICC T20 World Cup. Pakistan’s head coach Misbah-ul-Haq and bowling coach Waqar Younis have recently resigned from their posts. Earlier, there were reports of Saqlain Mushtaq and Abdul Razzaq being appointed as interim coaches in their place. Meanwhile, the responsibility of bowling coach has been given to former South African fast bowler Vernon Philander. In his 15-year long career, Hayden had scored 8,625 runs in 103 Test matches for Australia with the help of 30 centuries and 29 half-centuries.
