Sri Lanka’s fast bowler Lasith Malinga has announced his retirement from international cricket after recently retiring from franchise cricket. Malinga, who captained the team in the T20 World Cup in 2014, has decided to retire from all forms of cricket. He shared this information to all his fans by issuing a message on his social media account. Malinga, who is included in the list of most ‘dangerous’ fast bowlers in the world, has already retired from Test and ODI cricket. Malinga has taken 107 wickets in T20 international cricket. Playing 84 T20 International matches, he has taken five wickets twice. His best T20 performance is of hurling 5 wickets for 6 runs against New Zealand at Pallikal in 2019.
