West Indies won the first match of the three-match T20 International series against Sri Lanka. In this match, WI captain Kieron Pollard hit 6 sixes in Akila Dananjaya’s over, who had taken a hat-trick in the same match. Pollard became the first player from his country to achieve this feat. Before him, Indian Cricketer Yuvraj Singh had hit six sixes in an over against England in T20I. In today’s match, West Indies won the toss and chose to bowl first. Sri Lanka managed to score 131 runs in 20 overs in the first innings. West Indies started off to chase the easy target but it lost three batsmen in three consecutive balls. Sri Lankan bowler Akila Dananjaya took a hat-trick and dismissed Evin Lewis, Chris Gayle and Nicholas Puran.
