India defeated Sri Lanka by three wickets in the second ODI played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Tuesday. With this win, India took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. Winning the toss and batting first, Sri Lanka scored 275 runs in 50 overs. In the second innings, Team India achieved the target by scoring 277 for 7 wickets with five balls remaining. Suryakumar Yadav (53) scored the first half-century of his One Day International career. India had lost 7 wickets for 193 runs after which Deepak Chahar led the team to victory. Chasing 275, he scored an unbeaten innings of 69 runs off 82 balls with the help of 7 fours and 1 six. He was adjudged ‘Man of the Match’.
