Three men and three women cricketers have been nominated for the month of May in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Player of the Month. Pakistan’s Hasan Ali, Sri Lanka’s Praveen Jayawickrama and Bangladesh’s Mushfiqur Rahim have been nominated for the ICC Men’s award. While Scotland’s Kathryn Bryce, Ireland’s Gaby Lewis and Leah Paul have been nominated for this award in the women’s category. In the Test series against Zimbabwe, Hasan Ali took 14 wickets at an average of 8.92. While Praveen took 11 wickets in the second Test of the two-match series played against Bangladesh. Mushfiqur Rahim had scored 237 runs at an average of 79 in the ODI series against Sri Lanka.
