India’s legendary athlete Milkha Singh, popularly known as the ‘Flying Sikh’, passed away on Friday night. 91-year-old Singh was admitted to the hospital after being found COVID-19 infected on May 17. His health had improved in the last few days but suddenly he faced difficulty in breathing after his oxygen level dropped last night. According to PTI, Milkha Singh breathed his last at 11.30 PM on Friday night. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had wished Milkha Singh for better health a few days back. Earlier on Sunday, Milkha Singh’s 85-year-old wife and former Indian volleyball team captain Nirmal Kaur had died due to COVID-19 infection.
