BCCI seeks one month’s time from ICC for decision on T20 World Cup

BCCI approved the resumption of IPL 2021 in the UAE in September and sought a month’s time from the ICC to take a final decision on hosting the ICC T20 World Cup to assess the situation of the coronavirus pandemic in India. In the virtual Special General Meeting (SGM), the members unanimously approved both the agendas. An official said that all the members want the T20 World Cup to be held in India at the end of October. “BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah, will be seeking time till July 1 after which another SGM will be held to decide on whether we would go ahead with hosting of World T20,” said an official of BCCI.
