Bollywood actress turned politician Urmila Matondkar has joined political party Shiv Sena in the presence of Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray today. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut had earlier informed the media about Urmila’s induction into the party. According to media reports, Shiv Sena wants to make Urmila Matondkar a member of the Legislative Council. In 2019, Urmila had contested the Lok Sabha elections on a Congress ticket from Mumbai North. However, she resigned from the party after getting defeated by BJP’s Gopal Shetty.
