Suspended Congress leader KP Anil Kumar quits party, joins CPI(M)

Suspended Congress leader and former General Secretary of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) KP Anil Kumar has resigned on Tuesday. In his latest statement, he has announced that he is joining CPI(M) and has mailed his resignation to Congress President Sonia Gandhi. He said, “I’ve mailed my resignation to Sonia Gandhi&KPCC chief. For 43 yrs, I worked for Congress but new leadership stabbed my back. I came to know about my suspension via media. There is no democracy in party. I’m joining CPI(M).” He was earlier suspended under disciplinary action for publicly reacting to the selection of District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents.
