Sonia Gandhi suggests PM Modi to provide free education for orphaned children during pandemic

Congress Interim President Sonia Gandhi on Thursday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide free education in Navodaya schools to those children who have lost their parents during the COVID-19 pandemic. In a letter addressed to the Prime Minister, she said that the nation is indebted to the children for giving them “hope for a robust future”. Her son and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi shared the letter and tweeted, “Children are amongst the worst hit by Covid trauma, many having lost their parents to the dreadful situation. Congress President makes an important suggestion to safeguard their future & provide them free education at NVs. It’s high time GOI listened!”
