Congress leader Shashi Tharoor will lead a parliamentary committee meeting on 28 July over the issue of data security. On Tuesday, the Congress MP had tweeted attacking the central government on the Pegasus Project reports. He wrote that if Modi Government is not snooping on us then who else unleashed Pegasus. He said, “NSO only sells Pegasus to governments & Modi govt denies deploying it. Let’s find out who is snooping on us.” The monsoon session of Parliament started with an uproar over the Pegasus spyware case. In the report of the International Media Consortium, it has been claimed that the phones of more than 300 people were tapped in the country.
