Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee is again set to become the Chief Minister of West Bengal. The 66-year-old leader will take oath as Chief Minister for the third consecutive time. She was sworn in as the CM on 20 May, 2011 for the first time and on 27 May, 2016 for the second time. After the polling results on May 2, her party TMC was leading in 216 seats. Mamata Banerjee has urged the party workers not to hold any kind of victory procession due to the COVID-19 situation. PM Modi, who held several rallies for BJP, also wished Mamata on her victory and said that the Centre will continue to extend support to the state government.
