Lalan Singh appointed new national president of JDU, RCP Singh replaced

The new national president of Janata Dal United (JDU) will be Lalan Singh after the resignation of Union Minister RCP Singh. In the presence of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, JDU executive meeting was held in Delhi on Saturday. After this meeting, it was announced to appoint Rajiv Ranjan alias Lalan Singh as the national president. He is considered very close to the Bihar CM. In December last year, the party had appointed RCP Singh as the president. Singh has recently been made a Union Minister in the cabinet. After taking the ministerial role, he was unable to give time for the party, therefore he tendered his resignation.
