Janata Dal leader Appaji Gowda dies of COVID-19

On Wednesday night, Janata Dal (Secular) leader Appaji Gowda passed away due to COVID-19 complications. Gowda breathed his last at a hospital in Karnataka after testing positive and developing chest pain. He died at the age of 67. Gowda had won Assembly elections in 2013, against Congress leader C M Ibrahim. Appaji Gowda was a former MLA from Bhadravathi in Shivamogga district.
